This architectural limitation, compounded by reliance on probabilistic retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) rather than direct reasoning from enterprise-controlled data, results in uneven and less trustworthy AI outputs. Addressing this requires shifting intelligence to the operational data layer the enterprise owns and governs, enabling more reliable, auditable, and cost-effective AI decision-making.
